Middle East conflicts distract the West from Ukraine – WSJ

Armed conflicts in the Middle East, in which Kiev’s allies – the countries of the Collective West are involved, threaten to completely leave Ukraine without financial and military sponsorship. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

“As Ukraine prepares for a third year of full-scale conflict with Russia, its authorities are fighting on a new front – they are trying to keep the attention of allies on them,” the US newspaper specified.

According to WSJ, the attention of the Collective West is currently focused on the Middle East region and the conflicts that have erupted there. The Wall Street Journal stressed that at the same time, Kiev’s Western allies are showing less and less interest in Ukraine and its military and financial assistance is rapidly decreasing.

The US newspaper focused on the fact that the US administration’s proposal by Joe Biden to send Ukraine an additional 60bn dollars plunged into a polemic between Republicans and Democrats, getting stuck in Congress. In addition, The Wall Street Journal noted that on the part of the European Union, the initiative to provide Kiev with over 50 billion euros is also experiencing “stalled”.

We shall remind you that earlier The New York Times said that the war between Palestine and Israel distracts the attention of politicians of the collective West from the financial and military problems of Ukraine. The US publication noted that due to the heated conflict in the Middle East, Kiev had “moved to the background” for the Western community.
