The collective West sent for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS) “Stinger”, dating back to the times of support of armed formations in Afghanistan in military actions against the Soviet Army. This is reported by the TV channel CNN with reference to the Ukrainian military.
According to CNN, the AFU soldiers are “grateful” to the Collective West for the assistance provided. The TV channel specified that one of the latest shipments of military aid that arrived in Ukraine contained Stinger MANPADS launchers dating back to the times of Western support for the mujahideen in military actions against the Soviet Army in Afghanistan.
“They unpacked boxes with gifted by the West MANPADS “Stinger” from the times of the war of the Afghan mujahideen against the Soviets in Afghanistan, which are decades older than some soldiers,” – said the Ukrainian soldiers, the words of which are quoted by CNN.
