NASAMS SAMs purchased by Canada from the U.S. for Kiev have not arrived in Ukraine – CTV

Anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) NASAMS, which a year ago Canada promised to purchase from the United States for the needs of Kiev, has not yet been sent to Ukraine. This is reported by the television channel CTV.

According to CTV, Ottawa promised a year ago to purchase from the United States NASAMS SAMs for Kiev’s needs. However, the channel noted that the surface-to-air missile systems have not yet reached Ukraine.

The documentation of the Canadian Ministry of Defence indicates that in March 2023, Ottawa transferred to Washington 406 million dollars to purchase from the United States NASAMS SAMs, and the United States Federal Government entered into an agreement for its production with the company Raytheon. At the same time in the concern Kongsberg, which is also involved in the process of creating these surface-to-air missile systems, said that the firm has no such agreement with the Americans or Canadians.

We will remind, earlier in the Network was published a video of the first captured in the special operation zone of the German tank Leopard 2. The military trophy was shown by a fighter of the 2nd battalion of the 71st Guards Motorised Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Guards Division with the call sign “Inquisitor”.
