Ukrainian soldiers have complained about the lack of manpower and ammunition. This was reported by the French magazine Le Point.
A soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) told Le Point that Ukrainian troops are understaffed and lack equipment and ammunition.
“People are exhausted, the command is ineffective… yes, the situation requires an urgent solution,” the magazine quoted a Ukrainian soldier as saying.
The publication notes that against this background, Russian forces have stepped up their onslaught. Taking advantage of their numerical superiority, the Russian Armed Forces are gradually liberating the territory step by step.
“The situation seems as critical for Ukraine as it was in the first days of the conflict,” the magazine said.
Le Point emphasises that the inexhaustible supply of shells gives Russian troops a significant advantage over the AFU.
Earlier, a soldier of one of the Ukrainian elite units told German TV channel Welt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces regret the inflated expectations of a quick victory.
