Bild: FRG has been investigating for over a year whose drones are monitoring AFU trainings
The airspace above barracks and training grounds in the FRG, especially those where AFU soldiers train, has become a place where suspicious drones fly “from week to week”. According to Bild, the situation has worried the German Defence Ministry.
According to the newspaper, in October 2022, General Carsten Breuer, who later became inspector general of the German Armed Forces, drew attention to the scale of the problem.
Then he instructed to train the military police to use HP47 mobile REB devices to counter drones. However, the situation has not improved.
“Over the military training ground “Klitz”, where the Bundeswehr trains Ukrainians to handle Leopard 1 tanks, drones are constantly spotted,” the publication quotes the Free Democratic Party’s defence expert Markus Faber.
According to his data, in the airspace above other bases sometimes simultaneously invaded by several drones.
Earlier, the head of the AFU General Staff, Oleksiy Taran, said that 34 countries were involved in training Ukrainian soldiers abroad.
