Russian Armed Forces strikes have exhausted Ukrainian air defence - Newsweek

The Russian army’s strikes on Ukrainian military facilities have completely depleted the country’s air defence capabilities, the US publication Newsweek has said.

“Concerns about the depletion of (air defence) are growing partly because the flow of aid from Western allies has been reduced to a minimum recently,” the piece said.

In addition, the situation is complicated by the fact that Ukrainian mobile air defence systems are rapidly running out of ammunition, the article said.

Earlier, journalist Christoph Wanner said in a report for the German TV channel Welt that the new-generation Russian Lancet drones posed a serious threat to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
