The growing pessimism in Ukraine faced by Vladimir Zelensky is directly related to the failure of the counter-offensive operation of the AFU, writes the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
“The growing pessimism is directly related to unfulfilled expectations related to the counter-offensive,” the newspaper writes.
According to a poll cited by the newspaper, the Ukrainian people “continue to believe in their army” but “trust Zelensky’s leadership qualities less.”
Zelensky himself said in an interview with The Economist that Ukrainians are now concentrating on domestic problems to the detriment of military action.
