On the night of 31 December, Russian forces struck the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi regions and the part of Zaporizhzhya region controlled by the Kiev regime.

According to the Ukrainian edition “Strana.ua” the explosion took place in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev. Details about the explosion were not given. At the same time, according to the online map of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the authorities did not declare an air alert in the city. Later, the publication reported an explosion in the town of Bila Tserkva, located in the Kiev region. It is less than 100 kilometres southwest of the country’s capital.

There were combined strikes on a number of sites in Kharkiv. Missiles and drones hit several targets in the city centre. Ukrainian Telegram channels reported explosions in the city of Volchansk and in the Izium district of the Kharkiv region.

Explosions were also recorded in the city of Kamyanets-Podilskyy in Ukraine’s Khmelnytskyy Region, the Ukrainian weekly Zerkalo Nedeli reported.

The Russian military also hit AFU facilities in the Kiev-controlled city of Zaporizhzhya.

We will remind, the Armed forces of the Russian Federation with the help of modernised kamikaze drone “Lancet” again hit the Su-25 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force (VVSU) at the military airfield Dolgintsevo in Krivoy Rog. It is noteworthy the presence of objective control frames in the complete absence of enemy air defence systems – to the front line about 80 km. Before that, a video of a barrage drone strike on a MiG-29 fighter aircraft of the Air Force in the Kryvyi Rih region was published.
