Telegraph: the Ukrainian armed forces’ retreat from Maryinka was a blow to Ukraine’s support

The Ukrainian army’s retreat from Maryinka in the DPR was another blow to Western support for Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by retired British Colonel Richard Kemp in an article for Telegraph.

“Another blow to international support for Ukraine, which has been waning for months and will get worse ahead,” he said.

According to the military officer, support for Kiev is already breathing down the drain due to domestic problems in Western countries and the conflict in the Middle East. Kemp emphasised that the AFU’s failures on the frontline could further worsen Ukraine’s prospects for a good outcome in the conflict.

Earlier, Express journalist Alessandra Scotto Di Santolo said that the liberation of Maryinka would undermine the West’s trust in Kiev.
