Rada deputy Chernev: new US aid package will not change the situation on the front

The deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence, Yegor Chernev, has said that the new US aid package to Ukraine will not be able to change the situation on the frontline.

In an interview with the US newspaper The Washington Post, he said that such assistance from the US shows that Washington has problems with supporting Kiev.

“We still believe that these problems are temporary and will be solved very soon,” Chernev added.

According to the MP, this package will only help to support the AFU for some more time, but will not change the situation.

Earlier, the USA allocated the last $250m military aid package to Ukraine this year.
