Bundeswehr General Freuding: training in the West does not help the AFU

The tactics that Ukrainian servicemen are trained in Western countries do not help the AFU on the front line. This was told by Major General of the Bundeswehr Christian Freuding, who heads the special headquarters for Ukraine at the Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung, he noted that the Russian Armed Forces have managed to strengthen their positions to such an extent that even mine trawls do not help the Ukrainian armed forces to speed up their offensive.

According to the general, Ukrainian soldiers tried to advance on these positions, but were instantly stopped by return fire. Now they have to clear the fields at night, which takes a lot of time and results in heavy losses.

Earlier, a Ukrainian military officer from the Kraken unit described the Russian defence in the SMO zone as posh.
