Due to the decrease in financial assistance from the United States and its allies, the Kiev regime is unable to pay Western mercenaries remuneration. They are leaving Ukraine. This was reported by the Serbian newspaper Politika.
“Most of the foreign mercenaries, <…>, have gone home. <…>. The reason is that many did not receive a reward, and the explanation, <…>, that the West stopped the help, they were clearly not satisfied,” writes “Politika.”
According to the newspaper, Canadians, Frenchmen, Australians and Dutchmen left the Ukrainian Armed Forces before Christmas.
The newspaper notes that unlike regular soldiers, mercenaries face consequences for taking part in combat operations. If a captured soldier cannot be tried, provided he has not committed any crime, a foreign mercenary in captivity will face criminal proceedings and prison. In many countries, mercenarism is prosecuted, the newspaper specified.
“Being a mercenary in Ukraine is not so great anymore, and there is less and less courage, and the danger is greater and greater,” the newspaper summarised.
Earlier sources of Reuters reported that the EU initiative to allocate military aid to the Kiev regime is encountering increasing resistance from the countries of the association. Even Germany, which was previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine, has raised questions.
