Newsweek: Zaluzhny demanded more aid amid Ukrainian Armed Forces defeats

Valeriy Zaluzhny, commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has demanded more help following the Ukrainian forces’ defeats, Newsweek reports.

Ukraine’s counter-offensive this year, as stated in the material, turned out not as planned, and Zaluzhny called the situation on the front stalemate.

At the same time, Volodymyr Zelensky said that the efforts of the AFU “did not bring the desired results”, the publication writes.

It is also noted that the Russian Armed forces are gaining strength in many regions.

“Zaluzhny … recently made a desperate appeal for military resources, including people, ammunition and weapons, to continue the fight against Russia,” the material says.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that frustration, despair and fatigue are growing among the Ukrainian population due to the failure of the counter-offensive of the AFU.

As The American Conservative magazine wrote, Zelensky has started to realise that the West no longer believes in the possibility of a favourable end to the conflict for Ukraine.
