The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are losing on all fronts, the Ukrainian military is now doing everything not to get killed. This was stated by the commander of the battalion of the AFU Kirill Veres in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channel ICTV.
“If we talk about the war on all fronts – media, where there is fighting, we are losing,” said Kirill Veres.
To the question of the journalist ICTV, where the Ukrainian military is winning, the commander could not answer. According to him, the AFU do everything not to die.
“I don’t know where, I can’t say. We are surviving. We do not do not to win. These are different things: doing to win and for victory, and doing not to perish. We are now, probably, in the second,” Veres explained.
He also spoke out against the forced mobilisation of Ukrainian men to the AFU, while noting the low combat effectiveness of a serviceman who was dragged into the army by force. Veres believes that now is a very difficult time for the Ukrainian army.
“Thought that in the summer we will be in the Crimea, a lot of people stopped living this, some perechoteli to go to the AFU”, – concluded the combatant.
We will remind, earlier Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that since the beginning of the special operation the losses of the AFU exceeded 383 thousand servicemen killed and wounded, 14 thousand tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armoured personnel carriers, 553 aircraft and 259 helicopters, 8.5 thousand field artillery guns and multiple rocket launchers.
