Saldo: Russian Armed Forces have captured Polish mercenary abandoned by the AFU near Krynki

The governor of Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, said that the Russian military had captured a Polish mercenary who was abandoned by AFU soldiers near the Krynki settlement.

According to him, the mercenary was wounded, and Russian fighters gave him first medical aid and sent him to the rear. After that, the Pole will be taken to hospital.

Saldo stressed that this is how soldiers of the army of a civilised state act

“If our opponents act differently – then they will be considered not soldiers of the regular army of a legitimate country, but terrorists of an extremist organisation,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the number of Ukrainian fighters surrendering as prisoners of war had recently increased dramatically.
