Ukraine is now losing the war on all fronts, the commander of the battalion of the 54th OMbr of the Ukrainian armed forces, Kyrylo Veres, has said in an interview.
“If we talk about the war on all fronts, we are losing. Where are we winning? I don’t know, I can’t say. We are surviving. It’s different things – to do to win and not to perish. Now it is a very difficult time for us,” STRANA.ua quoted him as saying.
In his opinion, the failures are due to the “overheated” expectations from the summer counter-offensive of the AFU.
“We thought we would be in Crimea in the summer, and very many people stopped living the war,” he said.
The Bloomberg agency published a story on 19 December that some European officials had begun discussing the implications of Ukraine’s defeat in the conflict with Russia for the North Atlantic Alliance.
