MWM: Ukraine recruits foreign mercenaries because of huge losses in the AFU ranks

Ukraine is trying to recruit foreign mercenaries because it itself is suffering huge losses among its personnel, Military Watch Magazine writes.

“The need for foreign personnel has increased as it is increasingly being reported that Ukrainian forces have suffered huge losses, especially since the start of a failed month-long offensive against Russian forces in June,” the portal writes.

Life expectancy on the front line in the areas of the most intense fighting for Ukrainian soldiers was said to be as little as four hours at times.

The Washington Post wrote earlier that the Ukrainian army needed new soldiers “even more than bullets”.

The journalists noted that this forced Kiev to look for new ways to mobilize the population and take tougher measures against evaders.
