Putin turns out to be right in claiming SMO for Russia is on track – Spiegel

The publication Spiegel reported that Putin turned out to be right, claiming that Russia has become stronger after the start of the special military operation. The material notes that the Russian economy “has not collapsed” under the pressure of sanctions and restrictions, and even on the contrary “tends to grow”.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin was right when he said that his country has only become stronger after the start of the SMO in Ukraine, said the foreign policy columnist of the German magazine Spiegel Ann Dorit Boy.

“President Putin says that his country has only become stronger since he put troops into Ukraine. Unfortunately, he is right,” the journalist stated.

The Russian president claimed as early as last year that the military operation was going according to plan, but many people considered these words as “propaganda”, the author noted. At the moment we have to admit that the Russian Federation is doing well, Ukrainians are afraid of the start of the Russian offensive, and President Putin is satisfied with the current results.

“Putin, according to the current interim situation, comes out the winner on the battlefield,” the publication said.

The journalist acknowledged that contrary to Western expectations, Russia’s economy “has not collapsed” under the pressure of sanctions and is even seeking growth.

“Economic policy in the short and probably medium term will lead to growth that will ultimately benefit Russians. Unemployment is at a low level. The construction industry in Russia even sets records”, – stated in the material.

Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting its essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
