Finland will start producing artillery shells for Ukraine, Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen said.
According to him, the Finnish side has finalised negotiations about increasing the production of ammunition for Ukrainian troops, Iltalehti newspaper reports.
“This decision will be taken very soon,” Häkkänen added.
The minister said that the decision is likely to be made before the Catholic Christmas.
Earlier, the Finnish Defence Ministry announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth about €100m.
