EU allocates another €194m for Ukrainian military training programme

The European Union authorities have allocated about €200m in additional funding for the training of the Ukrainian military. The financial support will be provided through the European Peace Facility.

The aid comes in the form of “essential lethal and non-lethal equipment” as well as services to support training activities.

“The amount has been increased by €194 million euros and will amount to €255 million,” the European Council’s press service said.

On 13 November, the head of the EU diplomatic service, Josep Borrell, said that the volume of military aid supplies to Ukraine from the European Union countries had reached €27bn.
