European Union countries have already provided €27bn in military aid to Ukraine, but now they should do so “even more and faster”, according to EU diplomatic chief Josep Borrell.
Speaking at a press conference in Brussels after a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Borrel said that the military aid provided to Ukraine was not enough. According to him, it is necessary to increase its volumes, as well as to speed up the process of its transfer.
“The EU and its member states have already transferred €27bn worth of military aid to Ukraine, but now they should do even more and faster,” TASS quoted Borrel as saying.
Another topic of the press conference was the upcoming OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Skopje. Speaking on this topic, Borrel said that he had no plans to meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov there.
