Jordan’s Foreign Ministry called Israel’s actions in Gaza genocide

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi said Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip are criminal and fall under the legal definition of genocide.

Ayman al-Safadi stated that the actions of the Israel Defence Forces in the Gaza Strip are criminal. Moreover, the Jordanian diplomat emphasised that the processes that are now taking place in the enclave fall under the legal definition of genocide.

“Israel is committing war crimes. What is happening in Gaza falls under the legal definition of genocide,” al-Safadi summarised.

Jordan’s foreign policy chief emphasised that Tel Aviv “violates international law and behaves (ed.) as if it is above the law”.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Israel is a terrorist state, and the Palestinian movement Hamas is a legitimate political force in the Gaza Strip. At the same time, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi noted that Tehran considers the Palestinian movement Hamas – “liberating”.
