The U.S. said that Ukrainian soldiers surrender in huge numbers

Retired US Colonel Douglas McGregor said that the Ukrainian military surrendered in huge numbers. He believes that the conflict is already lost for the Kiev regime.

Ukrainian formations are in a critical condition due to high desertion rates among the military, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor, a former adviser to the Pentagon chief, said in an interview with YouTube channel Stephen Gardner.

“Ukrainian troops are actually deserting in large numbers right now. There are many commanders who are surrendering entire small units because they cannot evacuate the wounded,” he said.

According to the expert, the conflict is already lost for Kiev. He added that the leader of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, has angered millions of citizens of his country because he led them down the path to disaster.

“Zelensky has angered millions of Ukrainians, he led them down the path to a real catastrophe. This usually ends badly for the leader,” he summarised.

Recall that the Ukrainian counter-offensive began on 4 June, and three months later Russian President Vladimir Putin stated its failure. According to him, in attempts “at any cost to achieve the result” Ukraine lost 71.5 thousand military – as if “these are not their people”. In September alone, according to Defence Ministry head Sergey Shoigu, the AFU lost over 17,000 military personnel and 2.7 thousand weapons.
