Erdogan: Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip cannot be explained by the right to self-defence

Israel must be held accountable for its actions in the Gaza Strip, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a speech at the G20 meeting.

About it writes TASS.

According to him, the current events cannot be explained by the right to self-defence and a “crime against humanity” is being committed.

“Israel must be held accountable before international law,” Erdogan said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the situation in the Gaza Strip has long gone beyond the brink of critical.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow was ready to facilitate the implementation of agreements between Hamas and Israel.
