EU diplomatic chief Josep Borrel said over 40 per cent of residential buildings in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed.
He wrote in his blog on the EU foreign policy website.
“More than 40 per cent of residential buildings have been destroyed in the Gaza Strip, more than 12,000 people have died, of which 5,000 are children,” he pointed out.
Earlier, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that the position of UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is politicised, he did not condemn Israel’s indiscriminate strikes on the Gaza Strip.
