BRICS leaders will hold an emergency video conference on the situation in the Gaza Strip on 21 November.
This was reported by the press service of South African President Cyril Ramaposa.
“The leaders of the BRICS countries – Brazil, Russia, India and China – will gather [under the South African presidency] for an extraordinary meeting in a virtual format,” TASS quoted the statement as saying,
It is specified that the leaders of the new BRICS countries – Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Egypt, Iran and the United Arab Emirates – will also be invited to the meeting.
UN Secretary General António Guterres will also take part in the conversation.
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin noted that all BRICS states aspire to multipolarity.
