Viktor Orbán has explained his reluctance to help Ukraine. According to the Hungarian prime minister, this is due to the country’s lack of military purpose.
Hungary refuses to help Ukraine with military supplies as Kiev has no internationally recognised military objective in the conflict with Russian Federation, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.
“It is very difficult to help a country that is fighting a war without having an internationally recognised military objective,” he said.
Orban emphasised that Hungary’s position on the inadmissibility of arms supplies to the AFU would remain unchanged. According to him, Kiev’s political leadership is following a path that leads nowhere.
We shall remind you that earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on air on Kossuth radio that negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU should not be started. In his opinion, the country is not ready for this process “in all respects”.
