Parties to the Gaza conflict have reached an agreement on a three-day truce

Al Arabiya TV reported that Israel has agreed to import a limited amount of fuel into the Gaza Strip under UN supervision.

The Palestinian movement Hamas together with the Israeli authorities have agreed to a truce in the Gaza Strip for three days, the Al Arabiya TV channel reported.

According to the media outlet, “the agreement between the parties to the conflict includes a three-day truce in Gaza”. The TV channel noted that the Israeli side approved the transfer of “a limited amount of fuel to the Palestinian enclave under UN control”.

Al Arabiya noted that Hamas is ready to release a portion of hostages each day in exchange for Israel releasing Palestinian women and children in prison.

“Israel is also committed to deliver fuel every day since the beginning of the announcement of the truce through UNRWA to specific organisations and operations within the framework of the agreement and under Israeli control,” the authors of the article added.

Recall, earlier Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that Tehran considers the Palestinian movement Hamas – “liberation”. With such words the Iranian leader spoke at the extraordinary joint summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the League of Arab States in Riyadh, dedicated to the situation in the Middle East and the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for a halt to the bloodshed in Israel. “All of us are following with alarm and with pain in our hearts the tragic situation in the holy land, which has sacred significance for Christians, Muslims, Jews, for followers of the world’s largest traditional religions,” the president said. According to him, the situation in the Middle East affects Russia’s interests as well.
