Erdogan: Turkey will not be able to reach agreement on Gaza with current US stance

Turkey will not be able to reach an agreement with the US on the Gaza Strip if Washington continues to consider the territory as Israeli. This was announced by Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“The most important country that should be activated is America, which has influence over Israel… Gaza is the land of the Palestinian people,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Erdogan stressed that the United States should recognise this.

“If Biden has an approach that Gaza is not the land of the Palestinian people, but the land of the occupying settlers or Israel, then our agreement is impossible,” the Turkish leader said.

Earlier, the Turkish leader described the position of Western countries on the situation in the Gaza Strip as cowardly and unconscionable.

Erdogan also said that Israel is testing Turkey’s patience by threatening with nuclear weapons.
