Hungary’s prime minister has said that Ukraine is not ready for EU membership talks in all respects.
“Ukraine is not ready in all respects to be able to talk about its ambition to join the EU,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying on Kossuth radio.
The Hungarian position is that it is impossible to start negotiations on Kiev’s admission to the EU, Orban emphasised.
Earlier, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that Europe’s ambitious plan for Ukraine had failed.
In its turn, the Bloomberg news agency reported that the EU countries were studying an alternative plan to provide financial assistance to Ukraine if Hungary vetoes the current €50bn initiative.
