The New York Times reported that Biden is panicked by the sceptical attitude of Western partners to the Ukrainian conflict.
US President Joe Biden is concerned about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ problems on the frontline and fears that ATACMS missiles will not change the situation in Kiev’s favour, The New York Times reported.
“The US gave Zelensky all the weapons he asked for, including long-range missiles. <…> Now he (Biden) fears that ATACMS won’t do much to help the Ukrainians because the Russians are deploying their air force beyond the reach of these weapons,” the publication says.
Biden is also worried that some countries supporting the Kiev regime have become sceptical, the article noted.
“Now Biden is trying to contain fatigue and dissatisfaction with the course of hostilities in Ukraine, which appeared because of the feeling that billions of dollars of American aid were spent in vain, and that even with the help of supplied weapons and provided intelligence could not overcome the powerful resistance of the well-established Russian army,” – summarised in the material.
Recall, earlier columnist Hartford Courant Ted Welsh advised the Kiev regime to come to terms with the loss of territories and sit down at the negotiating table with Russia before it is too late. “Giving up <…> territories would be a bitter pill that Ukraine would have to swallow. Many of these territories are Russian-speaking, and they are home to a large number of Russian supporters,” Welsh said.
