Advisor to the Hungarian Prime Minister Balazs Orban said that until Kiev cancels its new language law, there can be no discussions on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
The Hungarian prime minister’s political adviser Balazs Orban has said that Budapest will block the start of EU accession talks with Kiev. He argued that the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine are systematically violated.
According to Orban, Ukraine adopts laws that make life for Hungarians in the country “unbearable”. In particular, we are talking about the law obliging national minorities to receive at least 70 per cent of their education in the Ukrainian language.
“We can not agree with this… Hungary’s position is crystal clear: as long as there is this law, there can be no discussion with Ukrainians about their integration into the European Union,” – said Orban.
We shall remind you that the company continues to discriminate against Russians, Russian history and culture in Europe. In mid-October, Estonian border guards fined a man on the Russian-Estonian border 400 euros for wearing a hat with the emblem of the Soviet Union.
