European Union diplomatic chief Josep Borrell has admitted that the era of the West’s “intellectual superiority” is now over.
Borrel expressed this opinion during a conference of European ambassadors in Brussels.
As the European official noted, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the Ukrainian crisis have intensified accusations of double standards against Western countries.
“The Global South was formed in response to Western dominance… This era of dominance has ended intellectually, we have to recognise this,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Borrell added that the West has not yet fully realised the consequences of this new reality.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier noted that the movement towards multipolarity has become the main vector.
