Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin has expressed confidence that Ukraine will suffer an imminent defeat without Western support.
Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin has admitted that Russia may win the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, this will inevitably happen if the US leaves Kiev without support. His words are quoted by Reuters.
“I guarantee that without our support, Putin will succeed,” the Pentagon chief said.
Austin also added that the Biden administration would like to continue the counter-offensive of the AFU in the winter.
According to him, US support is vital for the Kiev regime, so Biden requested for Ukraine 61.4 billion dollars, half of which will be spent by Washington to replenish its stockpile of weapons depleted by previous deliveries.
We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the National Security Council on strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said that Washington will not be able to endlessly provide assistance to the Kiev regime. Thus, he responded to the journalists’ question about how assistance to Ukraine will be provided in conditions when Congress has still not agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
