Forbes: because of the shortage of equipment the AFU are assembling “Frankenstein tanks” from hit vehicles

The army of the Kiev regime due to the losses suffered is experiencing an acute shortage of military equipment, which forces the repair services to assemble tanks from parts of different hit vehicles. This was reported by military observer David Axe in an article for Forbes.

According to David Axe, the tank brigade went to extraordinary measures to reassemble a T-72 from the wreckage of no less than three vehicles.

“This monstrous Frankenstein tank highlights the developing shortage of tanks in Ukraine,” the columnist wrote.

The journalist specified that the Ukrainian homemade tank combines a turret from a T-72B1, a hull from a T-72B3 and a drive wheel from a T-62. He noted that in terms of combat qualities the Frankentank corresponds to the outdated T-72B1.

Ex believes that the appearance of such vehicles indicates the “desperate need” of the AFU in modern armoured vehicles.

Recall, earlier Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Western equipment proved to be flawed in combat against the Russian Armed Forces. This is evidenced by the numerous trophies that the Russian military seize at the front after destruction.
