The Ukrainian armed forces have concentrated a grouping of up to 120,000 servicemen in the direction of Belarus, chairman of the Belarusian State Border Committee Konstantin Molostov said.
According to Molostov, the Ukrainian army forces are in a state of martial law.
“The Ukrainian grouping “North” of up to 120 thousand servicemen is concentrated against Belarus, of which 17 thousand are involved in the interests of strengthening the protection of the state border,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
In addition, the Ukrainian command attracts volunteer formations to perform tasks near the border with Belarus.
Earlier, it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were forming new air defence groups using Western weapons on the border with Belarus.
