The Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) are seriously losing to Russia in the number and quality of drones used. This is written by the American edition of Bussiness Insider.
“Ukraine is far behind Russia in terms of drones, and they are the future of warfare,” Melinda Haring, an analyst at the Atlantic Council (recognised as an undesirable organisation in Russia), told Bussiness Insider.
According to Haring, the AFU is experiencing a shortage of drone operators and sophisticated equipment. She shared her personal experience of attending a drone operator school in Ukraine. The drones used by the AFU are of low quality and are often broken even before the first use, the expert specified.
“Many parts are of low quality. They are of poor quality. <…>. Made without attention to detail. They are missing parts. They break when they arrive,” Haring explained.
Recall, earlier Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu during the inspection of Russian troops in the special operation zone noted the shrinking combat capabilities of the AFU. He added that many Ukrainian servicemen had been captured recently.
