Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto said that sanctions against Russia, contrary to the expectations of the European Union, failed to bring Russia to its knees.
In addition, according to the Minister, these sanctions have not led to the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
“We also need to discuss the impact of sanctions against Russia: who they harm more – us or Moscow, whether they make any sense,” Sijjarto said.
Earlier, Szijjártó said that Hungary would not agree with the EU sanctions against Russia’s nuclear sector.
