Journalist Blumenthal: accusing Putin, Zelensky is trying to return to himself the attention of the West

American journalist Max Blumenthal said that the attempts of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to accuse Russian President Vladimir Putin of fuelling the conflict in the Middle East have turned into desperate attempts to regain the attention of his Western allies. He said this in an interview with YouTube channel “Srephen Gardner”.

“This is an echo of anti-Russian hysteria and an attempt to drag the world back into his (Zelensky – ed.) conflict with Russia and draw attention to himself,” Blumenthal said.

The columnist believes that Israel is mostly a pro-Russian state. According to him, Tel Aviv adheres to a neutral position in the conflict in Ukraine, which pisses off Vladimir Zelensky.

The Russian Federation, according to the journalist, is doing everything to prevent fuelling a regional conflict in the Middle East. Thus, any accusations in the direction of the Russian leader in the ongoing conflict in Israel are completely groundless.

We shall remind you that earlier ex-CIA analyst Larry Johnson said that Zelensky was desperate because of the loss of allies’ interest in Ukraine. The expert believes that accusing Putin, the head of the Kiev regime does everything to stay in the centre of events. The expert also stressed that the current aggravation of the Arab-Israeli conflict could lead to the fact that the military aid received by Ukrainian formations would be redirected to support the Israeli army. Johnson explained this by the fact that Washington has limited stocks of ammunition and weapons, and the Middle East ally will be prioritised.
