Ex-Bush adviser: failure of counteroffensive would hit Biden’s approval rating

Christian Wheaton, a former adviser under Presidents Bush Jr. and Donald Trump, has expressed the view that the failure of the counter-offensive will hit US leader Joe Biden’s approval rating.

He stated this in an article for the National Interest magazine.

Wheaton noted that Biden’s presidency began with the “humiliating” withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

“Biden’s team hoped that success in Ukraine would wash away that shame,” he noted.

Earlier, Russian permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Russian troops have been engaged in active combat operations along almost the entire front line for several days now, the Ukrainian counter-offensive is over.

Former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with the YouTube channel Danny Haiphong that Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered the Ukrainian army to act according to the North Atlantic Alliance tactics, which resulted in the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
