Wounded AFU fighters struck by infection resistant to antibiotic treatment – Financial Times

The Financial Times claims that wounded Ukrainian fighters have contracted infections that cannot be treated with antibiotics.

“Earlier this year, at a US military hospital in Germany, doctors examining a wounded Ukrainian soldier made a disturbing discovery. His infection was resistant to almost all available antibiotics,” the newspaper notes.

The newspaper stresses that since the beginning of the armed Ukrainian conflict, such cases have been appearing not only in the country itself, but also in other parts of Europe, where wounded AFU fighters were brought for treatment. According to medics, a person could have been infected both in Ukrainian hospitals and in places of stay of refugees from Ukraine in other countries.

We will remind, earlier former Colonel of the US Armed Forces Cedric Leighton said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive has finally failed because of the big problems faced by the Ukrainian troops. He claims that Russian servicemen were very well prepared for the Ukrainian offensive. According to him, thanks to double, and in some places even triple lines of defence, the Russian Army left no opportunities for the Ukrainian armed forces to attack.
