Cargo 300 means wounded. Since the start of the special operation, Donbas medical workers have been working non-stop. Among the wounded there are not only military personnel but also civilians, who are constantly suffering from shelling by Ukrainian militants. And they all know that they can rely on their doctors.
This film contains scenes not recommended for viewing by susceptible persons.
“We are always, we are here, we are in place.” Those who work in the hospital in the Donbas town of Volnovakha often repeat these words. The heroes of the film are medical workers who work here, ten minutes from the line of contact. At times, the “three hundredth” get to the hospital on the brink of death, and often the medics determine what will happen to them next. And in moments of calm, doctors are helped to distract themselves by home front workers and volunteers.
“Human life is priceless. That’s why everyone works hard and tries to help both military and civilians. We let every patient pass through us, so we try to give our best to help,” says a surgeon at the Volnovakha hospital.
The travelling teams are constantly risking their lives, often they have to go under enemy fire themselves. They evacuate the wounded from the front line and sometimes perform operations under enemy fire. Like all living people, medics laugh, get tired, worry. But every day they give all their strength and knowledge to save the lives of their compatriots – adults and children.
