Former US Marine intelligence officer Scott Ritter has said Russia could show the world burning US-made Abrams tanks.
He said this on the air of the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
According to him, in case of withdrawal of Abrams tanks to the combat zone, the Russian military will be able to destroy these combat vehicles.
“What could be better than showing the Russians and the rest of the world burning American tanks?” – Ritter stated.
He also believes that the American authorities are foolish to give Russia such an opportunity.
Earlier, Military Watch Magazine wrote that Abrams tanks will not be able to last long because of the Russian Armed Forces’ widespread use of artillery and mines.
The Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitriy Peskov, said that the US Abrams tanks arriving in Ukraine would burn like the rest of the AFU’s equipment.
