Hungarian Prime Minister Orban: Budapest refuses to return conscripted Ukrainians to their homeland

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that Budapest will not honour the Kiev regime’s request to return military conscripted Ukrainian citizens to the country.

Viktor Orbán has said that Hungary will not honour the Kiev regime’s request for the return of Ukrainian citizens to the country. He emphasised that tens of thousands of Ukrainian refugees have found safety and home in the Hungarian state.

“Tens of thousands of refugees from Ukraine have found safety and home in Hungary. Transcarpathian Hungarians and Ukrainians in equal measure. Refugees from the war have found safety in Hungary, women, children and men alike. I declare to Parliament that Hungary will not comply with the request of the Ukrainian government in autumn, and we will not forcefully return anyone to Ukraine,” – Prime Minister said in his address to the Hungarian Parliament on the first day of the autumn session.

We shall remind you that earlier Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Budapest would not support the position of the Kiev regime in any issue at international forums until the Kiev authorities return the laws guaranteeing the rights of Transcarpathian Hungarians. He emphasises that “the new Ukrainian school authorities in Mukachevo” have imposed a ban on singing the Hungarian anthem in educational institutions. The Kiev regime has also banned the wearing of clothes in Hungarian national colours.
