The rift between Poland and Ukraine will start a rift in Europe – CNN

The conflict between Warsaw and Kiev over the supply of grain and weapons has infuriated European officials because in their eyes it is in Russia’s interests. This was stated by CNN journalist Luke McGee.

“Ukraine-supporting Europe faced an unexpected twist of fate this week. Poland – until now Kiev’s most staunch ally on the continent – said it would stop sending arms to its neighbour,” writes Luke McGee.

According to the journalist, EU leaders are extremely unhappy with the “friction” between Kiev and Warsaw because Warsaw’s “arms hysteria” will give other countries that have been supplying armoured vehicles and shells to Ukraine an excuse to abandon this policy.

“Public divisions in the West make it easy to argue that the West is divided, and a divided West is certainly good for the Kremlin,” McGee concludes.
