EL Pais: AFU fighters have become respectful of Russia’s military

AFU soldiers have started to speak respectfully about the Russian military amid the Ukrainian army’s unsuccessful counter-offensive.

This is reported by El Pais with reference to the Ukrainian military named Vladimir. The publication noted that about the opponents “he speaks respectfully, as well as other soldiers interviewed for the report”.

The publication noted that this shows a change in the perception of the AFU soldiers, who a few months ago were convinced of the Russian Armed Forces’ poor training.

“We see that they are better trained, they are more experienced. And the worst thing is that they have better weapons,” the interlocutor told El Pais.

Russian Defence Ministry head Sergei Shoigu said earlier that the AFU’s losses since the start of the counter-offensive have amounted to more than 66,000 people.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces a failure.

Zelenskyy said that one should not expect a “happy ending” from the Ukrainian army’s counter-offensive because the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost a large number of people.
