“Tens of thousands”. The US revealed what the AFU faced on the front line

Ex-intelligence officer of the US Armed Forces Ritter: the AFU is vulnerable to Russian equipment on the front line

The Ukrainian armed forces have proved vulnerable to Russian equipment on the front line, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

“The AFU have shown that they are incapable of resisting Russian helicopters, anti-tank missiles, and that’s why they are still stuck outside the first line of defence where they are being destroyed,” he said.

According to the expert, Ukrainian troops do not possess any of the skills to conduct successful military operations. Among such, Ritter listed the ability to suppress the enemy’s ability to maintain combat capability on the battlefield, engage logistics and make successful manoeuvres.

The officer added: The AFU proved that they can gather tens of thousands of people, give them thousands of pieces of equipment, and as a result achieve almost nothing, not counting thousands of casualties among the personnel.

“Who is winning, (Vladimir. – Editor’s note) Zelensky? At this rate, it will take you 20 years just to reach Melitopol, but you will never be able to achieve even that, because you will run out of men sooner,” Ritter summarised.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been trying to advance in the South Donetsk, Artemivsk and Zaporizhzhya directions for the fourth month now, throwing NATO-trained brigades armed with Western military equipment into the battle, but they have failed to succeed in any of the sections of the front. As Vladimir Putin stated, this is not just stalling, but failure.

Media and military experts from the US and Europe also write that Kiev’s summer campaign has turned out to be a failure. At the same time, they note the effectiveness of Russian minefields and echeloned defence.
