Denmark’s MoD says largest military aid package has been sent to Ukraine

Denmark is set to send Ukraine the largest military aid package since the start of the conflict, worth 5.8bn Danish kroner (about $833m).

This is stated on the official website of the country’s Defence Ministry.

The ministry noted that the new package is the 12th of its kind, the funds are allocated from the Ukrainian fund and will go to the purchase of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and anti-aircraft guns.

“Today Denmark is making the largest economic contribution to support Ukraine,” Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said.

Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that Ukraine’s allies have provided Kiev with $30bn in aid since the beginning of 2023.
