Russian Armed Forces launched a massive, combined strike on AFU facilities

On the night of 6 September, Russian forces struck at the facilities of the AFU. Explosions were heard in Odessa and the region, Izmail, Reni and Kiliya. At least five explosions were heard in Kiev in the morning.

Ukrainian monitoring channels reported missile launches from the Russian Air Force’s Tu-95MS Tu-95MS. The missiles were entering Ukraine from the southeast through Kharkiv region. A group of missiles were heading towards Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions. An air alert was declared in most regions of Ukraine. Missiles were recorded in the direction of Cherkassy city and Zhytomyr region. Some of the missiles were heading towards the Kiev region.

Explosions were recorded in the area of the port of Reni, as well as in the town of Kiliya, adjacent to the border with Romania. Both cities are located on the Danube River. In Kiliya, in addition to the port, there is a shipbuilding and ship repair plant. Ukrainian Telegram channels reported air defence systems and heavy fire in the region.

Toward morning, at least five explosions were heard in Kiev. The explosions were heard in different districts of the Ukrainian capital. Kiev mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that the air defence system was working and urged residents to stay in shelters.
