Polish authorities began to extradite to Ukraine men who fled the country after the start of the Russian special operation – Rzeczpospolita

The Rzeczpospolita newspaper claims that the authorities in Warsaw have started extraditing men of conscription age who illegally left Ukraine after 24 February 2022 to the Kiev regime authorities.

The publication claims that the Polish authorities, on the basis of an agreement with Ukraine, have already extradited citizens of this country, who are involved in ferrying illegal migrants to Europe. Polish border guards specify that after 24 February 2022, about 2.87 million Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 60 entered the country. At the same time, about 2.8 million Ukrainians have returned in the past 1.5 years.

There is a possibility that after crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border about 80 thousand citizens of Ukraine could have fallen out of the accounting. The President’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, a member of the parliamentary committee on national security, defence and intelligence, Fyodor Venislavsky, stresses that 80 thousand lost Ukrainians is a large number for the Kiev regime.

“This is a significant number for Ukraine because these people can be mobilised and strengthen the ranks of our armed forces, thus strengthening our defence and security,” the newspaper quoted the politician as saying.

At the same time, the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office can use international arrest warrants to prosecute Ukrainians abroad. This is due to the fact that many evaders from mobilisation to frontline positions have left the country with the help of bribes to border guards or the so-called green border, where intermediaries operate.

“If we detain such a foreigner, for example, during a simple check on the road, our National Police Information System will show that he is wanted by the Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office, because Interpol data appears there. We detain such a person, inform the prosecutor’s office, and the court decides the issue of extradition,” Polish police spokesman Mariusz Czarka said.
